Vascular Ultrasound: From Vein to Z

June 11 @ 7:00 pm 8:00 pm EDT

ULTRASOUND SOLUTIONS CORP. is excited to welcome Daniel Cartagena, BS, RVT, VA-BC, Vascular Specialist, for a deep dive into Venous Ultrasound.

Course Description:

Advancements in vascular sonographic technology and imaging have created new treatment options for patients. Minimally invasive procedures are now performed using ultrasound image guidance with less risk, less pain, and shorter hospital stays than surgery. This presentation will serve to help Sonographers better understand the multiple applications of Vascular Ultrasound and its integral role in interventional procedures, as well as the diagnosis and treatment of venous pathologies. (Approved for 1 SDMS CME credit, provided one is present for the entire event.)

Course Objectives:  Upon completion of this educational activity, the participant will be able to:

  • Discuss the basics of Vascular Ultrasound
  • Recognize venous anatomy using ultrasound imaging
  • Describe how Vascular Ultrasound assists in the diagnostic process in the procedure room
  • Discuss the role of the Sonographer in venous interventions
  • Explain some of the techniques, modalities, lab components, and therapies used in conjunction with venous interventions
